Can i get suspended (from school) for video taping a fight and puting it on youtube?

ok so there is this fight that happen AFTER school at 7/11 OFF school grounds..and now i gotta talk to the district principal, and i might be suspended for puting it on youtube.. can they do that?? can they suspend me from school for video taping a fight i had NOTHING to do with and puting it on youtube??
